Everything you need to know about the cost of a life drawing hens night with The Artful Hen. Pricing depends on your group size — the larger the group, the bigger the savings we pass on to you.

How much does a hens party life drawing cost?
Pricing depends on your group size — from $35 per person for 26 or more guests, up to a minimum total from $650 for smaller groups (with variations depending on venue hire). See the table above for the full breakdown.
Where do you run life drawing hens parties?
Are you only open on weekends?
We’re open seven days a week with flexible session times. Saturdays are the most popular, so get in touch early to lock in your preferred date.
What’s included in the price?
The price includes drawing games, a fantastic model, all art materials, venue hire in convenient locations, a fun photo session with the model, and brilliant tutors.
How do I book, and is there a deposit?
Book by calling 0412 179 357, emailing [email protected], or via our contact form. A $300 deposit secures your booking.
Is there a minimum or maximum group size?
There’s no minimum number of participants, though a minimum charge applies (see above). Typical maximums are 40 in Perth and 30 in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. Larger group? Contact us and we’ll work something out.
Can you make it more affordable for small groups?
Yes — two small groups can join together, with the per-person price based on the combined numbers. Give us a call to discuss.
Will it just be us, or other groups too?
Unless you choose to join with another group to reduce the cost, it’s just your group in the studio.
Will you come to us?
Yes — subject to staff availability, we travel to your home, Airbnb or venue. Please contact us to discuss.
Is it BYO?
Most of our venues are BYO friendly. Please contact us to confirm for your chosen location.
On the day
How long does a class run for?
The class runs for two hours. Please don’t be late, as classes can’t run over time.
Should we arrive 15 minutes early?
There’s no early access at our venues, but we allow a 10–15 minute settling-in time at the start so everyone can grab a drink before the model’s grand entrance.
What happens during a class?
Lots of music, drawing, drinking and laughter, while our fabulous tutors show you what to do and our models keep you entertained.
Does it matter if we can’t draw?
Not at all — 95% of our guests tell us they “can’t draw”. It’s about fun, not fine art.
Do we get to keep our drawings?
Yes. Everything you’d like to keep just needs to go home with you on the day.
Can we photograph the model?
There’s a photo session with the model at the end of the class. For photos during the class, just ask the model.
Models, guests & groups
Are your models gorgeous — and completely nude?
Absolutely, and yes — our professional models are completely nude.
Do you have female models available?
Yes — female models are available on request.
Is it strictly for women, or are mixed groups welcome?
Boys are welcome — mixed groups are absolutely fine.
Are there any age restrictions?
No age restrictions. The older women always have a ball, and no one has ever been offended.
Can my friend bring her baby?
If the hen has no problem with it, neither do we.
Art, gifts & other events
Do you only do hens nights?
No — we’re available for birthdays, office parties, team-building workshops, anniversaries… any excuse will do! See our sister site Wild At Art for more art party options.
I love your drawings — can I buy one?
Certainly — all of the artwork at The Artful Hen can be purchased.
I need a gift idea for someone special.
Why not commission a portrait to give as a gift?
